Invasion of Poland was a Nazi, Soviet and Slovak invasion to Poland. It took place from September 1 to October 6 1939. The Nazis invaded Poland from the north, south and west. During mid-September there was the Battle of Burza. The Polish tried to defend Burza for 11 days but the Nazis counterattacked them and won the battle. Polish forces were waiting for French and British support, which never came. These two declared a war towards Nazi Germany on September 2.
On September 17 the Soviets attacked Poland from the east and won.
After October 6 when the the Polish troops defeated the battle of Knock the Germans an Soviets took full control of Poland. Poland never surrendered.
